It's June already! Am I the only one wondering where the first half of the year has gone? Becky was commenting the other day that it feels like our lives here at the shop are measured in block parties. So we're almost a block party older. It's about time to start a new one. In fact, for those of you who haven't heard, we have started sign ups. Only $25.00 if you sign up before the sample is finished, which sould be in about another two weeks. We received fabric this week to start the design process. Becky was so tickled with them she almost started jumplng up and down when they arrived. ( A good indication that it will be another beautiful quilt.)

The Scenic Byway starts this Wednesday and runs through Saturday. We have spent the last few weeks preparing new samples and projects. A hearty thanks to those who helped with the beautiful new quilts to display. We have new fabric on the shelves with more arriving weekly. Of course there will be specials and refreshments. Stop by and see us!

We are excited about the response we have had to our $29.00 mystery quilts. Thank you! For those who may not have heard -- We are doing a mystery quilt the last Tuesday of each month.The quilts, generally, will be simple and quick to complete using pre-cut fabrics such as layer cakes, jelly rolls and fat quarters. You can complete the quilt top for just $29.00 --a bargain! The class consistst of a quick demonstration so you won't need to bring your sewing machine. Pre registration is reqiured so we know how many to plan for. The June session is full but there are still openings available for July and after. Call us if you have questions. Becky is also working on some new patterns. One is a reproduction of a quilt top her grandmother made. We made it in two different colors. The quilts are hanging in the shop and the patterns should be completed in time for shop hop this week. Kits are available. Here is a sneek peek at the quilts.
